AmeriSpec Inspection Services of Greater Vancouver

AmeriSpec was recommended to us by our realtor. He had seen a report from AmeriSpec from one of his other clients and was very impressed. We are so glad they were recommended to us! Robin Holmes was our inspector. He was very thorough, detailed and explained everything to us in a way we could understand. He answered all of our questions, walked us through every square inch of the house, and gave us a very detailed report (with pictures). The report also included recommendations on future maintenance and upkeep of certain areas of the home. He was also available to answer further questions that popped up some time after the inspection. He caught some very important safety issues with the home we ended up purchasing, and explained to us what needed to be done to properly rectify the issue. Robin takes pride in his work and we truly felt he cared about giving us the best insight and advice on our potential future home. We can now move into our new home with more confidence knowing Robin has given us a thorough written record of what we need to do going forward to ensure we take care of the house long term. :-)

The inspector, Ali was very professional and thorough and gave detailed explanation of the inspection report.

I would like to start off by saying the actual inspection was done well, and the inspector was quite friendly, however it is very difficult to deal with the office staff. I am still ongoing to resolve this so my review might change, but here is what has happened so others can be sure their inspection happens on time.1. In middle of July I scheduled an appointment for August 4th. August 4th came around and no inspector showed up. I called the office and unfortunately was told sorry, but didn't feel like they really cared. I was rescheduled for 8 days later with no urgency. I had arranged half this day off work and didn't take my own clients at work.2. I recieved a confirmation email this time. Make sure you get one. Turns out without the email it means you don't have an appointment. I saw that the bill had gone from $550 to $761, as I have a second suite. I asked if there was anything that they could do on pricing as I had to schedule a second half day off work. I recieved no reply.3. Day of inspection went well. I called the office later that day and she offered me $25 off. This felt like quite an insult validating the original apology was hollow. I asked for $100 as their inspection was still quite good, and that their own cancelation policy is $100. Bringing the price from $761 to $661. I was told this would not happen in a curt somewhat mocking way. I was told the owner would be the only one to review this. She then told me that my forms would not be submitted to the grant board till then.So currently I am be ransomed for the next 11 days till the owner returns to make a decision. And this is already delayed by 8 days from the original missed appointment. Overall inspector was nice. The office staff are very hard to deal with. Guess I'll see what happens from here.

10/10. Robin is super detailed and thorough in his investigation! I learned a lot of building facts and particulars of how to live and maintain the inspected building. Always great to see passionate individuals and who also takes time and not rushing to the next job"! We had a home inspection done by Gary Brisebois, he was very very professional and knowledgeable. we had a last minute inspection and he was kind enough to show up. He brought lots of experience to the table. He inspected the house very thoroughly and patiently and then spent a well amount of time explaining his findings to us on site. he sent us the report the same night and we are really thankful for his help!

We were very happy with AmeriSpec sending Robin Holmes to do the house inspection that we planned to buy. At the end of the inspection, Robin walked us through the whole house, pointed out all the potential and existing faults in detail. The written report was very comprehensive, with photos and detailed explanation. Robin Holmes is a very knowledgeable inspector that I would highly recommend.

Robin is fantastic and helped us through one of the biggest decisions of our life with a very thorough inspection. He explains things in Lehman’s terms and it’s easy to understand even if you aren’t in the construction business. He walks you through every inch of your new house, and his inspection report is just as detailed. Great experience. Would recommend his services to anyone looking to purchase a house in Greater Vancouver.

We choose AmeriSpec based on a recommendation of a friend who had an inspection done a few weeks ago. Ali Pishro came two times to do an energy assessment of my house. Ali was extremely professional and really fun to get to know. He taught me all about my house and how to make it greener. My wife and I ended up sealing all the windows, getting an air source heat pump installed and adding insulation to the attic. Ali helped us from start to finish. Thank you Amerispec! Thank you Ali!
