Stephen Densmore was negligent and outright dishonest. He cost me many thousands of dollars. He stated that we had 200amp service (it was 100). He reassured us that the spots in the basement that I showed him were not mold (they were mold). He told me he had his “personal electrician” in to inspect the house before I moved forward to ensure that the electrical work he claimed needed to happen was factual and wouldn’t cost more than he quoted (it was MUCH MUCH more). He stated that the (old) home I was purchasing was in amazing shape and better than most new homes he’s inspected (almost everything that could have problems has had problems from day 1). He said that there were guarantees and safe guards with his nationally accredited company that if anything were to go wrong it would be completely covered (absolutely not at all). He tried to double charge me for the inspection.The entire company, A Buyers Choice, is questionable. Their website seems so professional but try calling the phone numbers or emailing the email listed on their website. One of the phone numbers is actually an airline. The other one has space for voicemail that is never returned. The email doesn’t exist and just bounces your email back.Also if you look through a lot of these 5 start reviews (which is why I went with him without scrutinizing the reviews) you will see that a lot of them are from real estate agents who could possibly have a financial benefit in promoting a home inspector who overlooks issues and cuts corners.

Stephen was so thorough and professional during our whole experience. You could easily see the passion and knowledge he has for his work. We would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection!
